1 TO WHO GOES DIRECTED?

There are two categories::

a) General Category : Artists from outside of Spain can join the competition through our distributor in their country.

b) University Category: For all people enrolled in Fine Art Schools or Fine Art Faculties while the competition takes place and to those graduated in these schools in the last 5 years.

Any winners of any of our first, second or third prizes will not be able to join in again

4 HOW TO JOIN THE COMPETITION?

Participants must send the following documentation before the July 2006 by

    · A colour photograph size 15 x 20 cm of the work of art presented to the competition. These photographs will not be returned

    We will select 60 photographs per category and the selected will be asked to send their works of art.

    5 CHARACTERISTICS AND PRESENTATION OF THE WORKS OF ART

  • For oils or acrylic there is no standard shape, with a minimum size of 60 x 60 cm, an maximum 150 x 150 cm. These will be delivered framed in wood to protect them or rolled
  • For watercolours there is no Standard shape with a maximum size of 90 x 90 cm. These will be protected by a rigid backning or rolled
  • Works of art must be signed and indicate name and surnames of the artist behind
  • They will be send protected by a rigid packaging re-usable for the return. Example:Wood or rigid cardboard tube.
  • All delivery and return expenses will be paid by the contestants
  • Jaurena,S.A. does not take on any responabilities for damage, theft, loos or any other similar risks on the Works of art , at any moment of the process. Jaurena S.A. will make no insurance in any of the cases
  • Do not send any works of art protected by glass

    6 PRIZES

    GENERAL CATEGORY (Presented by internet ormail)

    1 Prize: Trip to New York for two people, for a week, with lodging and visit to two of the most important paint museums of the city plus 640 Euros.

    2 Prize: Trip to London for two people, for a week, with lodging and visit to two of the most important paint museums of the city plus 320 Euros.

    3 Prize: Trip to Paris for two people, for a week, with lodging and visit to two of the most important paint nuseums of the city plus 320 Euros.

    9 extra prizes of 220 Euros in paint materials.

    UNIVERSITY CATEGORY(Presented by internet or mail)

    1 Prize 3.500Euros.
    2 Prize: 1.800 Euros.
    3 Prize: 1.000 Euros.
    9 extra prizes: de 220 Euros in paint materials.

    The Jury will be composed by professionals of the art industry. Any doubts or determinations not contemplated by the bases will be resolved by the jury.

    BASES OF THE PRIZE VOTED BY INTERNET(only for art presented by internet):

    Any artist can join this competition. Amongst all voters we will ruffle 3 sets of Paint material valued in 220 Euros/unit The work of art selected by the jury amongst the 10 most voted through internet will have a prize of a trip to London for 2 people for 1 week, with all accomodation paid and a visit to two of the most important pain museums of the city plus 320 €uros.

    The popular vote will not begging until the preselection has taken place.

  • All prizes will be subject to spanish tax
  • All participants will be informed of the date the juries make a decision and of the date the prizes will be awarded
  • The 25 works of arts awarded will be exhibited in a public exhibition and exponed in a virtual gallery of www.artmir.com
  • The 25 works of arts awarded give the right of reproduction to Jaurena S.A.

    7 ADITIONAL CLAUSES

    The first three Works of art in each category and of the internet vote become property of Jaurena Art S.A.
    The 18 extra prizes will be returned, at contestants cost, and in the same packaging they were received in, once the public exhibition ends.
